KC Animal Hospital opened in 1989 with Dr. Daniel Pirotte's desire to open a veterinary hospital that would provide the highest quality medical care, without compromising client service. KC Animal Hospital was built on the foundation that, to most people, their animals are not just pets but part of the family. Family deserves the best care available. We still hold these standards today and believe that by building strong relationships with our clients we can give them the necessary tools and education, so that we may help them make informed decisions about the health care of their family members. We take pride in offering the highest quality care to our patients, and commit ourselves to furthering our educations to keep up with continuing advancements in veterinary medicine.

A message from Dr. Bates to our valuable clients:

"It is with mixed emotions that I share some personal news. My family and I will be relocating to Illinois next month. I have accepted a pathology residency position at the University of Illinois.

My last day at KC Animal Hospital will be May 31, 2013. It has been a pleasure serving you and your pets, and I am so grateful to have been a part of the KC family for the past 4 1/2 years.

I will certainly miss seeing your pets throughout the year, but I am very much looking forward to continuing my education, and returning back to my home state of Illinois (ask me how I feel about that in December, and I am freezing!).

Thank you again for trusting your pets to my care during my time at KC Animal Hospital.
